Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Fubar” Canceled by Netflix After Two Seasons

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the action-spy series Fubar on Netflix—starring Arnold Schwarzenegger of Terminator fame, Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), and Oscar nominee Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown)—has been canceled roughly six weeks after the release of its second season. The show’s second season barely made it into Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched series during its first week, drawing about 11 million fewer viewers than its debut season.

Fubar followed the story of a father, Luke Brunner (played by Schwarzenegger), and his daughter (Monica Barbaro), who discover they have both secretly worked for the CIA for years, tainting their entire relationship with deception and intrigue. Moss played Greta Nelso, a former East German spy and Luke Brunner’s past associate.

Other cast members included Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Barbara Eve Harris, Travis Van Winkle, Milan Carter, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Scott Thompson, and Fabiana Udenio. The series was created and written by Nick Santora, who has credits on The Sopranos and Prison Break. Schwarzenegger served as an executive producer alongside Santora.

Since the beginning of 2025, Netflix has renewed nearly 20 original scripted series for new seasons—the latest being Untamed starring Eric Bana and Virgin River for its eighth season.
